Taschen has launched a new book that showcases the stunning photographic work of architectural photographer Julius Shulman. Titled, Julius Shulman. Modernism Rediscovered., the new visual encyclopedia showcases over 400 of Shulman's best works throughout his career, which took him from the US to Mexico, Hong Kong and beyond. In travelling the globe, Shulman captured the extent of modernist influence on architecture, the distinctive styles and just as vital, the relationship between the structures and their surrounding natural space. Adding depth and context to the large oeuvre of photographic masterpieces are renowened individuals in the field including photography critic Owen Edwards, historian Philip J. Ethington and arts writer Hunter Drohojowska-Philp.
