That's (not) all: A new The Devil Wears Prada book is in the works
15 years after the first book was released
Classic-novel-turned-cult-film The Devil Wears Prada was a hit when it first landed on shelves and 2018 marks 15 years since it was first released by author Lauren Weisberger. To celebrate, Weisberger is releasing a new book in the series that will be told from the perspective of Emily Charlton, Miranda Priestly's first assistant (played by Emily Blunt in the film).
Titled When Life Gives You Lululemons, the story is centred around Emily's life following her departure from the world of magazines and New York for a life in Greenwich as a publicist to an A-list client.
The book's official release date has been confirmed for June 5, 2018 but if, like us, you can't wait that long you'll be pleased to know that Entertainment Weekly has the first chapter available exclusively on site to read. Read it here, and then meet Jason Stalvey, the man behind a 24 karat gold handbag.
