4 celebrity book clubs to join now
Add a little star power to your literary world
Book clubs have experienced a resurgence of late: once the domain of suburbia, book clubs have entered the lives of the millennial generation — no small feat considering the amount of time we spend in front of screens.
As such, a handful of Hollywood's top names have created their own literary-focused communities where they share recommendations and interact with fans about the books. Here are four you can join right now...
1. Reese Witherspoon's Book Club
If we were going to trust any one celebrity to pick a great book, it would be Reese Witherspoon. After all, she is the woman responsible for bringing the pages of Wild, Gone Girl and Big Little Lies to life on screens and she already has two more book-to-film productions in the works. Reese's book club page has 331k followers currently, and the page acts as a portal for the star to suggest a new book to read each month. There's also shots of book club members and snippets of interviews the actress has done with authors of the recommended books.

2. Oprah's Book Club
The OG book club queen, Oprah's group has been running since 1996. It has amassed a huge following of fellow book nerds in its time and provides a range of book recommendations that are approved by the legend herself. More than that, she also regularly films in-depth commentaries and interviews surrounding the reads.

3. Our Shared Shelf by Emma Watson
The opening line to Emma Watson's book club intro reads: "As part of my work with UN Women, I have started reading as many books and essays about equality as I can get my hands on." As such, the theme of Harry Potter actress' book club is feminism. A place where "everyone is welcome" (Emma's words), the book club suggests a new book monthly and then Emma offers discussion questions about the title in the last week of the month for everyone to engage on. It has over 100,000 members — a fairly good indication that you're in for some solid reads upon joining.

4. Belletrist by Emma Roberts
Scream Queens star Emma Roberts began the Belletrist book club with her best friend Kayah Preiss following years of back-and-forth recommendations between each other. They decided to share their literary loves with the world by setting up a website (as well as a dedicated Instagram page, naturally) where they share a book of the month, as well as interviews and videos related to the topic or book.
