Peter Marino's latest vision for Louis Vuitton's art collection revealed
Louis Vuitton's private art collection has just welcomed another contemporary piece at the New York flagship store-cum-gallery, selected by American architect Peter Marino. Already fusing art and fashion together — think Louis Vuitton x Jeff Koons Masters 2 collection, which is located on the first floor of the flagship address — the French fashion house now adds American artist, Betty Parsons' 1972 African Dawn artwork, to its selection. Thanks to Marino's architectural work in Louis Vuitton's New York and Paris boutiques — Maison Louis Vuitton Vendome was unveiled this season during Paris Fashion Week — the architect has selected 36 artworks for the maison including Yayoi Kusama's flower sculpture (pictured above).
