ArtSpace, one of Dubai's leading galleries, will be hosting an exhibition that showcases the works of the late Alfred Basbous, regarded as one of Lebanon's best artists in the last century. Titled Figurative to Abstraction, the new show is set to offer an insight into Basbous' exploration of shapes in all its abstract qualities. Be it human or otherwise, Basbous dismisses ingrained perceptions of forms to create beautiful reinterpretations that masterfully combine lines, shape, movement and material.

Basbous has received various national recognitions including the National Medal of the Order of the Cedar as well as the Medal of the Lebanese Order of Merit in Gold. Not to mentuon, his works are now part of many distinguished art collection worldwide including the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford and the Musée Rodin in Paris.
