The Museo Salvatore Ferragamo is set to host a year-long exhibition to mark 90 years since the founder's return to his native land after spending time in the US. Aptly titled 1927 The Return to Italy, the exhibition puts the spotlight on the various themes and elements of Italy's culture during the period leading up to World War II, which helped to inspire and shape the ideas of the master shoemaker. A host of works in various disciplines – think fabric fine art objects, photographs and advertisements – are featured as well as a collection of iconic Ferragamo shoes that were also created in that era.
