Gucci has officially landed in Shanghai with a captivating new exhibition...

It came as no surprise that Gucci was voted as one of millennials' favourite brands earlier this month given the successful year it has had. Not only does the Gucci tribe, filled with fashion's finest, grow by the day, but the Italian brand also has a huge following of art connoisseurs across the globe.

Having already launched several initiatives across Milan, Hong Kong and London, there's a brand new large-scale mural and exhibition that Gucci has just unveiled in Shanghai, China, at the Yuz Museum.

In collaboration with curator Maurizio Cattelan, Gucci's Creative Director Alessandro Michele has opened the doors to the newest exhibition, The Artist is Present. It references one of the most celebrated performance pieces by Serbian performance artist, Marina Abramovic.

Set to explore the ways in which different concepts including originality, intention and expression are conveyed through art, the exhibition will feature "site-specific and existing artworks from more than 30 Chinese and foreign artists including Damon Zucconi, Christopher Williams, Ma Jun, Aleksandra Mir and Sayre Gomez, among others", according to WWD
