The mesmerising multimedia works of Syrian/Danish artist Zhivago Duncan are now in Dubai. Located exclusively at the Meem Gallery the exhibition, Never But Always is a collective of edgy statements screenprinted on delicate fabric surfaces. Based in Berlin, Duncan works with various artistic media to create a wide variety of works from sculptures and paintings to installations and performances.

Slipping-Over-the-Line

In Never But Always, Duncan explores culture, from both a traditional and contemporary point of view, with ideologies as juxtaposed as Islamic geometry to Spiderman. Using gold and linen, he expertly applies the silkscreen effect, resulting in a body of work that is not only unique but also timeless. With symmetry very much in focus, Duncan tells his story through subjects including birds, ghouls and machinery.
