Art auction house Christie's Dubai is marking its 10 year anniversary with a new sale category for its 2016 annual sale season: Element of Style. The new addition will see 60 luxury handbags — think Hermes, Chanel and Celine — go under the hammer. Expect rare vintage collectibles as well as one-of-a-kind special editions to be the highlight of the sale. Alongside the handbag sale, a variety of other high-end items from Montblanc fountain pens to Louis Vuitton's famed travel trunks, will also be featured.

While the focus might be on the new category, traditional paintings will still be up for auction. In fact, the very first lot sold in Dubai was a painting. Now, to mark Christie's 10th year celebrations 125 lots will be on auction, including 40 artworks from the region's most prized private collections.

In addition the popular 'Important Watches' segment will start this year's auction and will include a rare Rolex, a rare Roger Dubuis and a few fine Patek Philippe timepieces.

Christie's Dubai will hold their annual event from March 13-17 at the Godolphin Ballroom at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel. The full itinerary is listed below.
