Chelsea College of Arts Dubai to host new short courses
More options in contemporary culture
The courses, 'Curating Contemporary Art' and 'Contemporary Art Explored', will be taught by lecturer Lynton Talbot, a graduate of Fine Art from Chelsea College of Arts and an independent curator for several London-based galleries such as Laure Genillard and Lisson Gallery.
These courses have been designed to look in detail into the realm of contemporary art and its position in the international art sphere. Returning for a second time to Dubai, 'Curating Contemporary Art' is a three-day course that aims to define the importance of a curator in the field, whilst introducing students to the practical aspects of engaging with artists.
The other is 'Contemporary Art Explored' is a brand new course to be offered to Dubai students and will outline historical milestones in the field, with a focus on the evolution of artistic styles and movements through the century while also touching upon the critical appreciation of art.
