The Fondation Cartier Pour l'art Contemporain was launched in 1984 in Versailles to promote modern artists and their works to the world. Today, the same ethos drives the foundation, with a continuation of emerging artists propelled into the spotlight, who in turn offer a different insight into the world of contemporary art. The Fondation Cartier, now located in Paris and housed in an architectural masterpiece by French architect Jean Nouvel, aims to continue to be a hub for art exhibitions and conferences by welcoming all art disciplines from painting and photography to video and performance art.
