With posters that read ‘Be different’, Chanel’s chief makeup artist Tom Pecheux listened to the model’s this time, and emphasised the beauty of each face from Gisele Bündchen to Kendall Jenner. Saturated smoky-eyes were seen with nude glossy lips, while some models donned rainbow lids, and pretty pink pouts.

As for the hair, most elements were left untampered with, “Karl wanted all the girls to have their own natural look,” explained hair stylist Sam McKnight. “As every model has different hair, so each way of perfecting her look differed, too.”

McKnight only used Phyto 7 Hydrating Day Cream to smooth and moisturize (which was used with Gisele's blonde mane), whereas other models were gently sprayed with Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray for volume. “Some had no need for me at all,” he said.
