Glossier is now a billion dollar brand
No biggie. Jkz, it's a major deal.
In case you needed any more convincing that direct-to-consumer beauty brands were where the money is at (I mean, aside from Kylie Cosmetics, of course), Glossier has just crossed the billion-dollar valuation mark.
Founded by former The Hills star Emily Weiss in 2014, Glossier has enjoyed serious success in the past five years, with revenue reportedly at Dhs367 million in 2018, according to Fashionista. Plus, it recently received USD $100 million in Series D funding from Sequoia Capital.
Combined with the launch of its newest sub-brand Glossier Play, all signs point to the brand becoming a massive global player (no pun intended) in the years to come. Shine on.
