It's no secret that Christian Louboutin considers Egypt to be his unofficial second home, as he is drawn in by the iconography and mythology of this ancient land, and naturally the creative designer finds abundant inspiration here. The new Scarabée limited edition collection of nail-colours is another shining example his ability to translate worldly themes.

Louboutin's newest inspirational treasure, dug up from ancient Egyptian iconography is the scarab beetle. Already making its way into Louboutin's designs, the beetle shape adorned the clasp of the Spring 14 Khepira bag, and now the iridescent colours of the beetle's outer shell have influenced a new limited edition of nail-colours.

Three shades have been developed to capture the natural beauty of this bug, coming in a soft flecked metallic with shades of rose and gold, a deep blue with flashes of purple and emerald and a bronze with highlights of green and blue.
