Angelina Jolie’s dermatologist reveals her skincare routine

Take note, people
Ever wanted to know how to get Angelina Jolie's camera-ready skin? Well, you're in luck...

Being responsible for the skin of one of the world’s most famous and beautiful women is no small feat, and yet that is Dr. Rhonda Rand’s job.

Angelina Jolie revealed that Dr. Rand has been her dermatologist for years in an interview with Instyle in March and Refinery29 caught up with her to find out exactly what Jolie uses to keep her skin looking flawless at all times.

“She’s always been such a natural beauty, so she didn’t ever have to do much. It was just really just sunscreen, proper cleansing with a mild, gentle cleanser, antioxidants, sometimes glycolic [acids], and natural products. Some alpha hydroxy [acids] are good too, and they’re very natural. She doesn’t need major scrubs or products with lots of chemicals,” Dr. Rand explained.

During her in-salon visits, Dr. Rand usually gives the star treatments to help with sun pigmentation. “[Laser resurfacing is] used to improve your skin and give it a little bit of a glow; but it’s a little more than a facial… And sometimes, when she’s in very sunny climates working, she can get some pigmentation, too. We can help take care of that with a photofacial or Intense Pulsed Light (IPL). We’re super careful. none of these change the quality of your skin or cause scarring,” she explained.

As for when Jolie is on the road? She’ll take the Dermbasics RR Perfection Cream from Dr. Rand’s personal line in your cosmetics kit. “It’s a chemical-free antioxidant sunscreen and that’s a good thing to travel with. We also have another product she likes and takes with her: Dermabasics Glycolic Acid Pads 20%. They remove the statrum corneum, increase collagen and elastin, keep pores clean and appearing small, and even out discolouration.”
