Chanel has just extended their beauty collection with a Fall/Winter '17 colour palette, aptly titled Travel Diary. This season Lucia Pica, Chanel's Global Creative Makeup and Colour Designer, travelled to the Californian coastline to gain inspiration for her creative process, resulting in a coveted collection of nail lacquers, eyeshadow palettes, lipstick, concealers and face compacts.

With each product sourcing its inspiration from the different sceneries of the American state, Pica explains: "I wanted to make my own mood board; to be inspired by what is happening in the moment. There was the sea, with the sun coming from one side to create this beautiful coppery gold, and then this lighter, brighter blue and a darker blue, and the pavement looked this beautiful beige… It was an obvious palette. It was just right in front of me; I couldn’t escape.”

Set to be fronted by Chanel's beauty ambassador Kristen Stweart (pictured above), the Travel Diary collection connects Pica's inspiration with Stewart's look to "achieve that fresh skin look I do on shoots". Expect to see a range of soft greys, blue tones, beige-based hues, metallics and bright pops to complete your beauty look because as Pica explains, colour should be "passionate".
