A unique new perfume collection: Roads Fragrance
Danielle Ryan – the entrepreneurial granddaughter of Ryanair founder, Tony Ryan – is the creative mastermind behind Roads, working closely with a world-renowned perfumery to develop the most unique and intoxicatingly fresh fragrances.
Each scent from the 10-piece collection was created by various inspirations that Ryan had experienced, from places and people, to emotions and experiences.
"I started getting interested in fragrance when we started thinking about experimental theatrical platforms, and wondering how theatre could use fragrance to create emotional layers to the words and acting," said Danielle, The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art graduate.
The 10 fragrances from Roads' launch collection are each named after its inspiration or a fictional background story, for example the scent Cloud 9, which is described as "A clean, calm scent. A feeling of floating happiness. Clean air, hot milk, comfort and lightness".
According to Ryan the best seller since so far is the spicy, oud-based fragrance Harmattan. Having only launched a few months ago, as part of Selfridges' beauty initiative, Roads is now selling in Brown Thomas and Barneys New York.
