The Met Gala 2020 has been postponed amid coronavirus outbreak

Put on hold indefinitely
Due to the coronavirus outbreak, one of the biggest nights on the fashion calendar will not be taking place in May...

Every year, fashion and Hollywood’s most prominent figures attend the Met Gala — the annual red carpet event hosted by Anna Wintour on the first Monday of May.

This year however, the celebrity-packed fundraiser scheduled to take place at the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 4th will not be taking place due to the coronavirus outbreak.

This marks the first time that one of the biggest nights on the fashion calendar will not be held since 2005. It was expected to host an exhibition titled ‘About Time: Fashion and Duration’, sponsored by luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton.

The news follows a slew of cancelled and postponed events across the globe including Coachella (now slated for October), Watches & Wonders and Cruise ’21 shows.

Now, take a look at how LVMH is helping the coronavirus fight in France.
