Acne Studios teams up with Swedish outdoor brand Fjällräven

Outerwear has never looked so cool...
Acne Studios has just revealed an exclusive collaboration with Swedish outdoor brand Fjällräven...

Summer is ending which means our minds are all turning to the cooler climes that are on the way. Whilst for us here in the Middle East that means perfect, 25-degree days that make being outside a total dream, for the rest of the hemisphere it means winter is coming in the realest sense, with temperatures plummeting and warm coats and accessories coming out as a result. The best part of winter (besides the snow and the perfect excuse to stay in and watch Netflix all day) is undoubtedly the wardrobe and next season’s outdoor kit has been given a very cool makeover courtesy of Acne Studios‘ new collaboration.

The Swedish ready-to-wear brand has teamed up with fellow countrymen Fjällräven, a renowned outdoor brand, on a collection of bright outerwear pieces that are certain to add a little pizzazz into your next nature jaunt.

According to Acne, this collaboration “is the first time Fjällräven has ever allowed another brand to pay homage to its classic pieces, such as the Expedition down jacket and the Kånken backpack.”

Launching globally on September 6, the unisex collection features down jackets, rain jackets, trousers, shirts, hats and backpacks, as well as a sleeping bag imbued with Acne-specific touches like faux fur trimming, oversized pockets and reflective patches.

Each piece has text which explains the purpose of the collaboration to its wearer and to reinforce the “deep respect and admiration that is at the heart of the collaboration.”
